my favorite iphone photo apps

i love photo-everything from my iphone; photo shooting, sharing & editing. and to meet this addiction, i've downloaded one too many apps - some i love to this day, some were short-term flings and others didn't quite fit the bill from the beginning. folks have asked me on and off, which apps i use to add filters and also stamps and fonts. there are a few, so i decided to organize them in one blog post.

are any of these your favorites as well?
or am i missing out on a great app? if so, let me know! would love to check it out!

photo sharing
instagram.. omg INSTAGRAM!
i love my ig family & community. i posted my first shot on December 17, 2010, and ever since then i've met the most friendly and amazing people from all over the world. they laugh with me, make me feel better when i'm under the weather and delight in the interesting moments in my life that i document with instagram. a great application to not only share photos but to CONNECT with people. i write that in all caps because that's the point (or at least how i use it) - yes, posting pictures is a must, but also "like" and "comment" to create real connections. that's, to me, the real beauty of instagram.

you can find me and my memories on instagram at jaeun2 (also using hashtag #withyoo or #mydogpiri)

photo filters
i went through different phases of having favorites. i must say the photo filter i use most right now is picfx (with vsco cam not that far behind). but there are also others. here's the list:

other photo editing apps
i love to play around with crops and add fonts and stamps on my photos. it adds to the story i'm trying to tell. here is what i use.
  • squareready (cropping for a square, horizontal or vertical look)
  • phonto (great selection of fonts)
  • rakugacute (super cute stamps)
  • snapeee (also cute stamps - this is also a photo sharing app, similar to mobli, i'm not active on it)
  • mr. chiizu (stamps)
  • signote (doodle stickers)
  • picframe (for creating photo collages - i love using the double or triple frame feature)
  • phoster (great design templates to make your photos look like stylish posters)
bonus tools!
i love browsing instagram on my phone, but sometimes browsing online makes it much easier. i turn to statigram and webstagram to do just that. i love both sites so i switch off to browse my feed, leave messages to people i follow and respond to my followers' comments. i also get to check out different analytics and statistics through statigram. pretty neat.

turning instagram shots into keepsakes
last year i turned my instagram pictures into these cute magnets made possible by the folks at stickygram. they've also been turned into my phone case courtesy of casetagram. they are a great way to be always reminded of the memories i've been documenting through my phone!

what else?
i'm also on viddy - a video sharing app, but haven't been terribly active. sort of the same concept in adding filters to your videos and sharing it with other users. it's just been a bit harder to connect and be active.
