trimming our epically awesome, one in a million christmas tree

it's the weekend after thanksgiving and that means we're all good to officially start blaring christmas carols, decorate the apartment and trim the tree. we decided to get a real tree for the first time this year and i'm glad we did. the smell of the spruce tree really just seals the deal for us. christmas is coming!

last night, we had so much fun trimming the tree. piri also had fun sniffing all the decorations. i think he also thought the tree skirt was his new bed. he kept crawling under the tree to take a nap on top of it! (i also think he thinks the tree is his new indoor toilet)...

happy holidays, everyone!

we picked this one out cos yangkyu said it was "symmetrical". i picked it out cos i just knew. you can kinda tell how we both come to decisions on things. he's a logic kinda guy and me? i like to go with my gut.

Also, I love your blog. You seem to have such an awesome family-complete with an adorable dog! I wish I had seen pictures of your doggy sleeping under the tree. 4. Your tree is beautiful, and I'm so jealous it's real! My husband wouldn't be quick to go with a real tree.. Maybe if I show him your post and he sees another Korean man doing it, he may think about it for next year lol
Your photos are absolutely wonderful, too! Happy Christmastime my friend! xo

    1. Thank you! If you tell him the smell is incredible he may change his mind (and not let all the loose needles on the floor tell it was a bad idea!) :D

    2. Yes, the needles are a problem. But I agree, the smell makes it all worth it :)

  6. Oh, I just love colorful Christmas trees!! I always get a real tree. Like you said, the smell is just so Christmas-y.

So funny Piri thinks the tree skirt is a new bed. Classic. I have to put the ornaments out of puppy reach on my tree because my Tanner thinks they are his chew toys. That means my tree is only ever decorated from the middle up. lol!!

    1. So cute! I think after this, I will always want a real tree. I hope it'll last till Christmas! I think I worry about that a lot! Some folks say that sugary water helps? Can't wait to see your tree! Hope you put it up on your blog!
