we're celebrating a doggy birthday here

piri's birthday isn't until tuesday, but we decided to celebrate a little early with presents and homemade sweet potato cake. 

we picked up a few things from olive green dog (where we got piri's bow tie for christmas) --
some treats // a cute little octopus toy // billy wolf dixon bandana // personalized id tag 
(i ordered a little late so the tag is still making its way to us).

we usually stop by doggy style in dc to pick up a few bakery treats for piri for his birthday, but this year we decided to make him a cake. we steamed sweet potato and decorated with old mother hubbard milkbones and science diet training treats. 
i think he liked it. he gobbled it up.

happy 14th birthday, piri. 
it's going to be a fantastic year of new adventures & shenanigans.

    haha ahhhhh she is SO cute!! seriously i am going to steal her!!
    i remember celebrating my dog's birthday too. we would hide his treats in paper and have him "open" his present haha :p
