it's good to be late from time to time because you get to find little gems like the maine avenue fish market

as mentioned in this post, i had said to yangkyu that he never plans surprise dates for me anymore. and so he went and booked tickets for us to spend an hour sailing with the wonderful folks over at dc harbor cruises.

we were supposed to be there by 11:45 am but the dc traffic got the better of us and we arrived just as it turned noon. thinking that we blew our tickets we delightfully surprised when we found out we were able to get on a waiting list for the next ship and had an hour and a half to pass. so we walked along the harbor until we stumbled across a little gem called the maine avenue fish market.

there we ordered some maryland crab soup and oysters and walked away with the biggest smiles you can imagine.

jane

  16. It looks better than a buffet spread! And it's making me crave for other like salmon and sashimi! I remembered how it was like to be at Granville (in Vancouver) and I found a little notebook store that sells all the types of notebooks that I'd want to buy and I love! And the market that has everything in it :)

Enjoy your lovely date and he's too sweeeetttttt! Naaawwwww..
