did you have a good weekend?
we felt really productive and proud of ourselves for plowing through our "to-do" list bright and early. we had so much time to just relax around the house, cuddle with piri, catch up on some tv {although we were probably the only ones not watching breaking bad on sunday} and read.
and can i also say how incredibly awesome i've been feeling for cutting our grocery budget in half by starting our meal planning again? i can't believe how much food we wasted before. i'm also getting a bit more bolder with trying new recipes. i've been sticking to making a lot of korean food {thank goodness for maangchi} and have surprised myself a few times when a certain dish actually tasted like it's suppose to {i'm seriously really bad at cooking so these moments are a real high for me}.
here's to life's little big moments! have a wonderful week ahead.
we're heading into october! wow.

your weekend sounds a lot like mine - productive but relaxing. I love your photo displays.
ReplyDeleteyour meal budgeting sounds intriguing! I've been planning meals for a couple months but nothing too extravagant since I'm awful at cooking. (really awful). I should try some new recipes!

ReplyDeleteLove the photos on the wall and how cute is that little cactus!

Well done on the meal budget. We've been doing more home cooking recently. It's very convenient after getting fed up with the same fast food taste day in day out the food court close to work and much healthier alternative too.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you had a great weekend, Jane:) I love doing stuff bright and early too, so you have the rest of the day to relax.
ReplyDeleteAnd I really have to read the Night Circus!

what a lovely home you have! i love the bright yellow chairs, and your picture collage is beautiful. what a wonderful way to decorate!
ReplyDeletei'm trying to swing myself by the kitchen more and more, especially when my mom cooks so i can pick up some points. i really love collecting recipes and imagining how fun it would be to make them, so i hear ya. a celebration is truly called for when something tastes great! here's to our chef hats haha! :)
I absolutely ADORE your wall of polaroids and photos...so cute! Loving all of these "favorite things"! xo
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful space with the photo wall and the table with the yellow chairs! :) Have a happy week!
ReplyDeleteI love all these snapshots! I am so awful at taking photos of my fiance and I but amazing at taking photos of Morgan, haha. So I essentially have no photos within our apt. other than a handful of Morgan! You've inspired me to get going on a photo wall!
ReplyDeleteI love all the photos you have up on the walls! I'm inspired to put up more in my home now :-)
ReplyDeleteWow are those all separate pictures? I so want to get a polaroid. Love these pix.
ReplyDeleteAli of Dressing Ken

DeleteI have a cactus like that but I managed to have killed it recently lol I've been tinkering with the idea of meal planning and really should do it.
ReplyDeletei have managed to kill a cactus or two once in my life :)
DeleteI love all the different arrangements of polaroids. When my daughter was first born I did her whole baby book filled with polaroids because I didn't want to miss any memories :)
ReplyDeleteLoved the pictures they are so adorable! Beautiful things you have sweetie
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you had a great weekend, new Instagram friend! ;-) Cuddle time with our doggies is just the best...though it sometimes results in Mommy being late for work! Opps!
ReplyDeleteOh please do share some of your Korean recipes with us!
ReplyDeletei have one coming up for next week that i'll share on the blog!
DeleteWe so need to budget and prioritize when it comes to the groceries. Cheers to life's little and big moments!
