during these terribly chilly months i need a few things beat the cold. like...
^^ a hot cup of tea. a favorite around here is the jasmine pearl green tea. a few sips really warms up the body. and hand cream. my goodness i live by pivoine flora from l'occitane. relieves my hands from being ultra dry. a lifesaver really. ^^
^^ knit hats and scarves. can't leave the house without them. love the soft feel against my skin and it keeps my ears, neck and face warm. ^^
^^ a furry cuddle partner. piri has been shaven down since these pictures, but he's still so soft and cuddly. ^^
how do you beat the cold?
have a wonderful week ahead!
it's thanksgiving in 3 days around here. woo hoo!

Why, hey there cute dog! I already have a hand cream, but I've heard so much about the L'Occitane ones that I must get one as well. Hope they're not greasy!
ReplyDeletetotally not greasy! i know what you mean though. i'm not into hand creams that are! arg~~

ReplyDeleteMy winter list would probably go to infinity:) There have been the first snowflakes here today and with ur first picture u gave me an idea that I could use at the moment;-) xx
ReplyDeleteDid you post a photo of your new hair??? Great pic of the lotion. I love the blurred out red berries/branch you bought earlier.
ReplyDeleteno not yet. it actually looks pretty much the same although it's really black and not the lighter black/dark brown that it usually is. :)
DeleteYour pup is so cute! And I need one of those knit hats!
ReplyDeleteI need to be more strategic about fighting the cold hahah mostly I just pile on the layers and hide under my duvet while I can! I also have a riiiiiidiculously big scarf that really helps if I absolutely have to go out.
ReplyDeleteThankfully it doesn't get as cold here as where you are - but I agree, a scarves and beanies are great ways to keep the heat in! Love the white one. Does Piri get a sweater since he's shaved down ;) xx Kat

It's crazy how cold it's gotten in the span of a week. We even got a touch of snow in NYC yesterday and just last week I went out in a t-shirt and hoodie. Jasmine pearl green tea sounds lovely!

Oh boy, it's been a chilly few days! I've always been drinking cups and cups of tea. I love L'Occitane hand cream- I should pick some up soon. Also, I badly need a knit hat/beanie to keep my head warm, especially on days like today!
ReplyDeleteWe also spent the weekend hiding from the cold. I'm just not ready for Montreal winter! And Rick caught his first cold of the year. Lots of tea (we're rocking spiced rooisbos today) and blankets!
ReplyDeletei don't beat the cold, it def beats me!
ReplyDeleteI wear a lot of thermals from M&S but never never wear them when cooking!

We had Korean over the weekend too. I ALWAYS crave Korean stews, but they're especially great around winter. I think I'm going to bust out the slow cooker soon so that we can make chillis and soups while we're at work.
ReplyDeleteI also use the dog as a heat source when I'm in bed :)
Brrrr it IS cold! But hey, it's a short week and we get to spend the bulk of it indoors with loads of yummy warmth :) Hope you're having a lovely week!
ReplyDeleteI really can't complain since you know how LA weather is. I send you a warm hug! I too love wearing knit wear. I always put those on when I visit my in-laws in Michigan. Take care, sweet friend! It's a short week.
ReplyDeleteAh, love your mug with pretty flower inside!
ReplyDeleteI know, it's freezing! No wonder I can't take a step without my fluffy slippers, thank god I have them...<3
ah, cold weather. how i love you! and that tea sounds awesome. i'd love a pretzel that's bigger than my head.
ReplyDeleteIt has been so cold! and your puppy that little face to die for.
ReplyDeleteCute cup! Where did you get it? Tea is also one of my favorite antidote for cold weather, specially chai tea and spicy ones are my kind of thing during winter, then I move towards jasmine and red for brighter days :) Pretzel mmm yummy! Missing them so much as we can't find a single good one here in Barcelona.
ReplyDeleteLove that mustard knit! And furry cuddles are the best for keeping warm! Alongside blankets and a hot drink!
