for piri's 15th birthday we decided to center his presents around the theme of health, well being, grooming and safety. we do consider all of these categories on a daily basis and feel very blessed every time our vet tells us that piri is very healthy for his age. we like to think that it's because he gets his annual exams and vaccines done, goes to the vet when he is ill, takes supplements for his joints and skin and is on preventative medicine for heart worm and ticks/fleas. he also has health insurance through the aspca, and while his plan doesn't cover wellness exams, it has definitely helped us during times when he was ill. we could be doing a better job with his teeth and ears and hope to be more consistent in maintaining them.
so for his birthday this year, instead of overwhelming his toy bin and buying more treats than he needs, we thought that we could invest in some items and make some upgrades to things he already has. i have been searching online for the past few days and came across these really great items. i guess it's not really fair to say that this is piri's wish list {sorry, dude}, but here is a barking birthday wish list for the healthy pet.

DeleteYes I am considering pet insurance for my kitty who is now a whopping 7 months old. Took her to the vet today for stitch removal and to take off the cone of shame. The 'Bark Edition" too funny. Have you heard of Bark magazine? Not sure if it is still around but you would love it.

Jane, that is so cool! I don't have any pets, but that's something I would do. The news just said the other day, how people are spending more on their pets. I love that pet companies are making more products for the benefit of the pet. Great selection.
