dear piri, 

 // what kind of secrets did you and hiro share the last time we went over to his house? he kept whispering something in your ear and you responded by smiling. what kind of doggy secrets were they? 

 // it was so much fun to have your favorite humans around this past weekend, huh. sorry buddy that it's so quiet around the house now. they'll be back soon. i promise. 

 // we saw max again on our walk! but yeah bummer... max's human didn't have extra treats on him so you didn't get any. oh well. what is that? you're not looking forward to meeting them again. oh piri. don't be so disappointed. you have loads of treats in your little closet!

 // why do you flip your bed over during the night? do you like the softer side inside of the cooler side?

 // come to think of it.. why do you always mess up the bathroom rug overnight? it's a present for us? to find in the morning? wh..why.. thank you....

 // sorry i just assumed that you liked to watch the animal channel. you know. you're an animal and .. well.. ok. i shouldn't have assumed. 

 // yes! i miss pat kiernan from ny1 news too! we used to always keep that channel on for you during your days when you had separation anxiety. oh how far you've come piri. 

 // i know. your friends yumsky and goofy in germany got to eat so many treats while watching the germany v. brazil game {every time they scored a goal)! you wish you were there with them? yeah, i'm sure you wanted to. 

 // i felt so bad leaving you behind when we went bbq-ing. you were standing by the door wagging your tail because you thought you were coming too. it's just.. i thought it would be too hot for you. i'm so sorry piri. 

 // in fact, i feel bad every time we have to leave you behind to do something fun. 

 // but but but... we're going to the beach in august. just you wait piri. it's going to be so much fun. 

 // i like when you get a little red mustache after you eat watermelons. 

 // there are so many things you can do that i can't do.. like touching your nose with your tongue. i'm so jealous. 

 // if you could talk, what would be the first thing you'd tell me? 

 // i love summer but the more i see you having such a hard time in the heat, sometimes i wish for fall to come sooner than i want to. hang in there buddy. watermelon this weekend, ok? 

 // i'm not sure if this is too early to tell you but we're going to see stacey the groomer on the 24th. just fyi.
