with everything that was going on, i forgot to thank everyone for your well wishes on our new home. we're settling in nicely. it's a wonderful space and we're going to make a lot of memories here.
piri already has several windows he likes to look out from to see the neighborhood kids play and watch the lawnmower dudes do their thing. we also met a handful of our neighbors who were all so warm and welcoming. it's really nice to hear the words "welcome to the neighborhood".
a few months ago i thought we would be moving out to washington dc to enjoy urban life and pedestrian culture again, but we're still out in the burbs. well, it's not as bad as i had thought.
it's been a roller coaster ride of emotions lately - ups and downs. but i guess that's just the ebb and flow of life.
hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

DeleteI am a fan of the burbs. Being right outside of Baltimore city is the bomb.
ReplyDeletei grew up in the burbs and so i was wondering if that was why i love urban spaces so much. yangkyu grew up in an urban area but he loves the burbs now :) it's nice. i love how it's quiet. but sometimes i do miss the hustle and bustle and being able to walk to places.
DeleteLiking little Piri on top left.

ReplyDeleteLove this shot pal! Beautiful! Hugs to you!!!
ReplyDeleteNice to hear that you are settling in nicely! oh! and how sweet is the welcome to the neighborhood; when we moved to our current home we were so happy and excited that went to visit our neighbors to introduce ourselves, apart from a few exceptions we only got weird looks, hahhaha I guess living in an apartment building does not require the same type of introduction, or we, city people need a reminder to be more friendly to each other ;) Big hug to the three of you!
ReplyDeleteThe chalkboard wall is AMAZING and I'm so jealous haha. I can imagine how nice it must be to hear "welcome to the neighborhood" and you make me excited for when I have my first home.
