since late may we've been incorporating smoothies into our morning routine a few days out of the week. we don't have a blender but we did purchase a magic bullet from a while ago. it makes just enough for a cup of smoothie each for both yangkyu and me. i've been relying on this blog for recipes but have also tried a handful of others from around the web. below are some that we've tried!
raspberry blackberry smoothie
1 banana
1/2 cup of blackberries
1 cup of raspberries
splash of milk
1 tbsp of honey
4 ice cubes
tropical green smoothie
1 tbsp honey {or desired sweetener}
1/2 cup of non-fat plain yogurt
1/4 cup of water {we used coconut water}
1/2 cup of chopped fresh pineapple
1/2 cup of chopped mango
1/2 cup of chopped spinach
avo-banana kale green smoothie
1 cup of fresh kale
1 cup of water
2 bananas
1/4 avocado
blue chia smoothie
1/2 cup of plain non-fat yogurt
1/2 banana
1/3 cup of fresh blackberries
1/3 of fresh blueberries
1/3 cup of spinach
1/2 cup of orange juice
1 tsp of chia seeds
strawberry oatmeal smoothie
1 cup of strawberries
1 banana
1/2 cup of oats
1/2 cup of plain non-fat yogurt
1/4 of water
1 tsp of honey
strawberry mango smoothie
1 1/4 cup of apple juice
1 cup of low-fat plain yogurt
1 cup of fresh strawberries
2 cups of chopped mango
what are some of your favorite smoothies?

ReplyDeleteso good right?
DeleteSmoothie is extra awesome in the summertime in my opinion. It is refreshing and an easy way to get your daily fruit/veggie intake. Yours look soooo pretty. The Magic Bullet seems to work great.
ReplyDeletei agree with you! and magic bullet does work nicely :)
DeleteThat raspberry blackberry smoothie looks beautiful and sounds good. I'm typically a green smoothie girl when I enjoy smoothies and my favorite recipe is frozen mango and pineapple, two handfuls of spinach, and a cup of Greek yogurt - yum! I might verge a little out of my comfort zone though with some of your smoothie features
ReplyDeletei was surprised at the color! it came so pretty :) your green smoothie sounds super yum!
DeleteYum! Which one has been your favorite thus far? I like to freeze my veggies and fruits so that I don't have to add any ice and it's cold straight from the blender :) I also don't measure (just eyeballing it) so I can't give you an accurate recipe, but I my go-to is: a blend of kale, pineapples, bananas, coconut water, and chia seeds.
ReplyDeletei love blue chia smoothie! and your recipe sounds delicious! i should try!
Deletewill have to try some of those!
ReplyDeletehope you'll like them!
DeleteI love strawberry and mango smoothies! I've also been really enjoying the combo of pineapple and blueberry. It seems sort of random, but it's actually super yummy. I usually add a Tbs of flax meal and/or chia seeds to my smoothies. Extra vitamins and it helps thicken them up!
ReplyDeletei like them thick too :) pineapple and blueberry is a unique combo but sounds delicious!
DeleteThese all look and sound incredible! I've always wanted to try a smoothie with spinach in it!
