We had our first snow of the year a couple of days ago. I thought it was a little too early for this stuff but apparently the Snow Gods didn't think my opinion on the matter was very important.
Piri and I got our knits and braved the outdoors. We both ended up shivering like shaky leaves.
I think his paws hurt from the cold and so we put on some thick shoes we got him a while back and once outside he pranced around like a bunny rabbit. It was like someone pulled him out of a magic hat.
The snow is still on the ground accompanied by some hail we got last night. It looks like the salt angels came and sprayed the town with tiny balls of salt.
What are you all doing over the weekend?
I'll be busy finishing up some knit projects - a couple of cowls and hopefully my shawl - and getting together with some friends. I love spending time with them because we always try to include all our dogs. And Piri loves it because he gets to ignore us and go around and ask for massages and beg for food. Me and Yangkyu basically turn into chopped liver when they are around.
Wherever you are, stay warm, stay cool, stay happy.

DeleteWe had our first snow in NYC this week too and I'm happy that it didn't really stick. It always looks nice when it falls but can be such a pain to tread around in.
ReplyDeleteIt is! And today we're having nasty rain that has turned the snow to mush! Terrible!
DeleteSounds like you have a lovely weekend lined up! I am also hoping to finish off a blanket that I've been crocheting for my friend's birthday :)
ReplyDeleteOh I hope you finished that blanket!

DeleteAww Piri! Lol, I don't know if I'm having snow envy or not. On the one hand, I'd love to experience a white winter, but I also know how apocalypse now southern states become at a few flakes hitting the ground lol everything just shuts down. Your weekend sounds so productive, mine was the opposite :) happy Sunday love!
ReplyDeletehaha! my brother also lives in GA and i remember when everything shut down. i was going to school in upstate ny at the time and even monstrous amount of snow didn't shut the school down! i was shocked! :)
DeleteI love it when doggies prance! It hasn't been too bad here. Hope you're warm!

DeleteAhhh...so cite :)) Bless. xx

DeleteRyon did NOT like working out in the freezing cold, even with his exercise rug, and I can't say I blame him at all
ReplyDeleteWe haven't had snow yet, never get much but it's forecast for tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteBuckets & Spades
How fun is to imagine Piri like a snow bunny on the snow! I wonder how Juno would react to snow; with her strong character, I'm sure she would blame me for the bad weather ;) I know I have the snow idealized (because we rarely have it in here) but how pretty it is!
