Yesterday was one of those days that made you wish spring was here to stay. The weather was in the mid 60s (wha???!) and everyone, and I mean everyone, was out and about - playing, jogging, laughing and going on walks with their dogs and babies. We also took a walk around the neighborhood with Piri and it felt good to explore new areas we have never been to before.
I also finally bought myself a lens cleaning kit and also replacement lens covers which I lost for both my 50mm and the 18-55mm, which is a standard kit lens that came with my Canon Rebel Xsi. I'm so terrible when it comes having nice things. I need to really learn how to take care of them better.
After blowing, dusting and wiping all my lenses, I gave my 24-70mm a rest (the lens I usually shoot with although it's awfully heavy) and mounted the standard kit lens on my Canon 7D and took it around our walk.
I'm dreaming of more days like this. But hey, guess what? Daylight Savings Time is March 8! Which means it'll get darker later and we'll soon be hashing out plans for our veggie, plant and flower gardens. Hurry hurry!
// I always wear them out until they are so chipped! Gah! //
// He loooves Chipotle. I find it less than so so but for some reason I was willing to try it out again yesterday and had the steak bowl. Not bad. Not bad. //
// I can't wait until the branches are filled with greens and colors. But I must say, this winter has not been as brutal as it was last year. //

ReplyDeleteI hope it turns out as lovely as yours!!
DeleteSorry for not visiting for a while. I didn't know that you've changed the name of your blog because I was still looking for Always With Yoo. I really like your new blog. Still very neat and clean. You 3 sure looked like you guys are having so much fun out there. Over here at my place, it's so hot and I wish I could get some cold air.
ReplyDeleteHello hello! Thanks for coming by!
DeleteGorgeous photos Jane! I'm terrible at taking care of my camera and lens. My boyfriend always talks about how terrible I am with it and sometimes he cleans my lens (and even my glasses haha). I need to do a better job in taking care of my investment!
ReplyDeleteMy husband says that same too. Yangkyu is so good about taking care of his. My brother was really good too. On the other hand, I'm terrible. That's why I don't own a lot of really nice jewlery because I know I'll ruin them. D:
DeleteI have a confession to make, I actually don't mind chipped nails :P I also always loose lens caps, i actually bought a whole bunch as spare! oops!
ReplyDeleteOh yes! I'm always so self conscious when I go around in public with chipped nails! And you lose lens caps too! Haha :)
Deletegreat pics. I love these random everyday shots. keep them coming.
ReplyDeleteps: you should see my nails right now.yours look spectacular compared to mine :)
I used to love taking everyday pictures but now I find them harder to do! :)
DeleteNew lens alert! Everyone's in good spitits then.
ReplyDeleteBuckets & Spades
Spirits even!
Deleteyay!
DeleteReally lovely photos. It's so funny to see photos from Virginia, since I actually grew up there, but have never seen it through the eyes of another blogger. Are you living in NOVA, because that Chipotle looks a lot like the one in Fairfax Corner!
ReplyDeleteRae | love from berlin
Oh hey! Hello! :) That Chipotle is the one near Best Buy! Is that the one in Fairfax Corner? I always get the names mixed up. We used to live right near there and then moved further out.
DeleteSounds like a really good weekend! Hope the weather stays good for you guys. Reminds me, I need to get a lens cap to replace one I've lost too haha.
ReplyDeleteOh I love hearing similarities with other bloggers - lost lens caps! :)
Deleteaww seeing pictures of Piri puts a smile on my face :) that yellow beanie looks so warm and its really cute!

What a wonderful day! I love when there are sunny days during winter. I am also terribly guilty of wearing my nails out until there's almost no paint on them, I can easily go two weeks with the same nail polish without repainting them, oops. About the lens cap, fortunately Dani is quite the methodic one of the two of us, he almost naturally remembers to put the cap on his pocket :)
