i'm just glad the wrapping, writing and sending of everything is done. last year, i cut out letters from old newspapers and used them to id the gifts instead of using gift tags. i did it for our niece on's gift and that was it. i ran out of patience. i didn't make gift bows either and just went with twine. i liked how wrappings turned out this year though. simplicity is the way to go.
big props to yangkyu for spending his past two lunch breaks standing in long lines at the post office. he deserves a cookie. or more like extra hours for video games.
happy holidays!

jane

This December does seem super short! I was thinking the same thing!
DeleteThese are so pretty! Love the newspaper letter idea - definitely trying that! Really lovely pictures Jane :)
ReplyDeleteThank you!! Newspaper idea is really great, but folks who have really long names.. kinda hard.. boo

Thank you! Yay~ hope you got to mail your cards!
Deletei loooove wrapping gifts and labeling them and what not! Such a good idea to do them in all the same wrapping paper! It looks so lovely. Strangely enough, I didn't know that much about scandinavia until I met Ø...but i am learning so much now hahaha

Yes! I love wrapping gifts but I'm terrible at it! lol - I started using one color last year and it just looked simple and clean. But when I look at other wrapped gifts in different patterns and color I wonder if I should've done the same thing :)
DeleteCongrats on getting it all done! AND - the wrapping is lovely! Excellent idea using the newspaper for letters!
ReplyDeleteThank you!! I'll have to replicate the newspaper idea for other things and maybe invest in a stencil. Printing out letters using my favorite fonts and then tracing and cutting out again was just too painful to do.. and folks who have long names.. forget bout it.. :)
DeleteYour presents are seriously adorable. I need to tie mine with twine nest year - I did raffia and a quick job this year

DeleteWhat a cute card and I love your all-red wrapping with some twine! Very very rustic. I LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I kinda like how they turned out as well. I tend to use a lot of color and strings and what not, but I liked the simplicity this year. Plus I had no time so it all worked out!
