on saturday evening while we were in ny, our friends took us to momokawa.
i *fell in love* right away.
it's tiny, but oh so authentic and warm.
for appetizers we had the croquette, fish cake and ordered sake and kiran beer.
and for the main dish, we had their beef sukiyaki with vegetable and udon (noodles).
a couple of our friends also ordered seafood ramen which was delicious as well.
after our sukiyaki was done, we ordered extra noodles because it was just so delicious.

Oh wow, looks so nice! I always order the beef sukiyaki at the little japanese place I always like to go to, and there is truly something about its tininess that I love, somewhat authentic and just feels like you're in japan in a way :)

I'm with you on that one!
DeleteOooh, sounds and looks so enticing! I love noodles, ramen, well Asian food in general! Maybe it's because I'm Asian! Although, I have to admit, I'm eating Paleo and haven't had any noodles in about 3 weeks. I'm about overdue! -Jessica L
ReplyDeleteI think I know what you mean! Sometimes when I go for weeks without Asian food, I hear a calling!
DeleteFood posts always make me hungry, haha. Looks very tasty, and warm too! I have to remind myself to go here one of these days.

DeleteThe food looks amazing! Love the sound of fish cakes, beef with vegetables, and udon- noodles were my favorite and still are, but I have had to cut grains and anything not truly "natural" out of my diet. =( Well, except every once in a while. Sounds like my kind of place! -Jessica L
