"p" is for piri. baking doggie treats at home.

i'm not much of a baker. but i thought i'd try something different in the kitchen the other day. doggie treats. i used this pumpkin dog treat with peanut butter recipe. it was super simple to make and loads of fun as well. we picked up new cookie cutters at bed, bath and beyond and chose the shapes i liked best. but the letter "p" was my favorite. "p" for piri {which means flute by the way in korean. my mother named him after a popular korean song from her days. piri also literally sounds like the name petey}.

we didn't end up giving him a lot of these treats at once. piri has a sensitive stomach and doesn't take to changes in the diet too well. and a extra word of caution to those who also want to try the recipe -- some dogs may be allergic to flour and/or whole wheat flour or other ingredients. so please adjust as needed!

enjoy! recipe & reviews can be found here

^^^ he sniffed and took a bite. his face gets me every time. ^^^

  10. Love them! I'll definitely be stealing this recipe :)! Morgan assumes anything we have baking in the oven is for him and is always quite disappointed upon realizing it is not so I will certainly surprise him with these goodies!

  16. Oh how wonderful you made dog treats!! I think my parents dog will feel left out if he was ever to know that we only feed him store-bought food or spaghetti leftovers... But I somehow suspect he'd refuse to eat it somehow. Piri is so cute though!! You did a great job too!

  17. I've always wanted to bake for my dog, but like Piri she has a sensitive stomach and doesn't take changes in diet well either. I think I may try out this recipe though!

  18. I need to try these for Bosco! He used to eat pretty much anything we did, but the older he gets, he seems to be developing some sensitivities. :( I'm sure he'll love them though! He loves peanut butter!
