yesterday, we packed up a picnic blanket, a couple of books, sandwiches and sunnies and headed over to the yards park in dc. i have no idea why we never came here before. it was beautiful!
we found a spot that had the perfect amount of breeze blowing through with the right amount of shade and spent a few hours relaxing, relaxing and relaxing some more. oh and yeah, we did a bunch of these. i think by the 10th shot, piri was over it. ha.
afterwards, we went home and spent time near poolside. we were so sad that it was the last day it was going to be open until next year. so not ready to pack away summer yet. not even in 101 degree weather.

ReplyDeletePicnics are so lovely! I keep telling my fiance we need to make them happen more frequently! I love Peri's socks--Morgan has some red ones with little pirates on them :)!

ReplyDeleteAww, you guys are so cute! I'm so so glad you got the chance to be outdoors and have a picnic!! That's the best! It was pretty gloomy and muggy here all weekend so not very motivating to have a picnic unfortunately :( I'm glad you guys had an amazing time, Jane! Me, on the other hand, am pretty happy that it's the end of summer - i can't wait for Fall!! :)
