a party, show and movies. have a jolly weekend.

are you looking forward to the weekend?

we're headed to yangkyu's company holiday party in dc tonight. it feels funny to be dressing up - i haven't done it in a long time. but i'm taking out my heels and my trusted black dress for the occasion. it also gives me the opportunity to wear my mama's jewlery that she gave me a few months back. i remember playing with it as a child and wondering when my fingers would be big enough for the ring. now it fits perfectly around my pointer finger. we bought yangkyu's tie last weekend and i love the bold colors. it'll be nice to be out at night, arm in arm, with lights, music and cocktails. i think piri may wear his own bow tie and throw a party with his pal, russian dog.

over the weekend we're also catching an afternoon show of a christmas carol at ford's theatre. we bought tickets early this year {october early} since it sold out quickly last year {but we got to see the nutcracker so it was ok}. i love performances - from the moment the curtain goes up to when the performers come out to bow.

we also hope to squeeze in a trip to the movies to watch the hobbit: the desolation of smaug. we caught the first movie around this time last year and we were pleasantly surprised.

lots to look forward to this weekend. it'll be a festive one.

hope you all have a jolly weekend as well!

  1. Hope you had fun at the party. It is fun to dress up sometimes, doesn't it? I haven't gone to my company's party in two years, this year they had it on a boat. Pretty jewelry.

  14. What a coincidence Dani is just leaving for his company christmas party. Here is not usual for partners to join the party, so I'll have a girls pajamas party at home with Juno, haha :) We are discussing right now about the movie, she is picky. Wish you a great weekend, I also love theater, looks as a great plan.

We will just have to go to another play so we can get dressed up! I am always looking for an excuse to bust out my black dress. I'm sure you will look absolutely beautiful in your's!
