a girl and her dog: märta + ninja.

hello! 

here is a great tuesday fix for everyone. i'm so very happy to have märta and ninja from sweden join us for our monthly "a girl and her dog" series. hope you'll stay a while and read about their wonderful friendship. 

i always have a fun time going through märta's instagram feed. they are full of her whimsical and adventurous dog, ninja. sometimes ninja's a princess, an artist or chef extraordinaire. she can rock a flower crown and be the most amazing agile dog. but most of all she provides the kind of companionship to the human girl in her life that no other can provide. 

here is their story.

we got ninja four years ago when i had depression because of my crohns (inflammatory bowl disease) and i was home alone a lot. my mum decided maybe we should get a dog, and i just thought she was kidding. but she googled, and did a lot of research and i remember when my mom showed me five black and tanned american cocker spaniels. and one of them was ninja. 

in early june, we drove to the kennel and when we got there she took us to the backyard. she said wait here, i'm just going to get the puppies! and when she opened the door to the red little house, five small cocker spaniel puppies ran out with their big ears and big fluffy paws. all our family members melted of all the cuteness. and that was when ninja and i first met. from then on she has been the best friend who has always been there and will do all possible things together.
