hello friday!
we'll be celebrating a long 3-day memorial day weekend over here in here u.s. we were originally supposed to go camping with a few friends but plans didn't pan out so instead it'll just be me, yangkyu and piri. we're squeezing in a mini road trip and some pool time instead!

Deleteboy, that link about photos/memories really got me. I feel like if/when I have my own child, I will be that parent taking every photo because I want to "remember it." My husband often reminds me to stop taking snaps and "enjoy the moment." My reply is often, "you wouldn't have any memories if you didn't have me." But, this article totally brings up valid points. Missing out on living in the moment is a terrible thing. I remember when parents used to pose us in front of wherever we were so we would "have a memory." And...that was true. Posed as the photos were, they bring up the moment when I look back on them. I may not remember every detail but, aren't memories cherished because of the emotions they bring back? What a photograph conundrum!

yes! a photograph conundrum! when i'm with friends i tend not to take as many photos but when i'm with just my husband and piri i tend to take more. i don't know why i make that distinction. but i am so hooked on capturing a moment. but once i do then i put my camera and phone away and i enjoy the rest of the time just focused on what is going on.

DeleteInteresting article on photos and memories... this year I've actually been taking photos just a little bit less often and it's been kind of nice, although I have to admit there have been a couple of times where an event ended and I realized I actually never took any photos and wished that I had! The best balance is probably somewhere in between. Have a wonderful weekend!
