late afternoon naps.
trip to the bookstore.
dangly jewlery.
playing with my 50mm lens.
spicy kimchi noodles.

wolf trap summer 2014 performance & events listing.
funny texts with girlfriends.
yangkyu's frist instagram.
and the planetarium! i haven't been to one since going to the hayden planetarium in nyc as part of an elementary school field trip. we recently found out that there was one inside the national air and space museum so on sunday we went and saw the "journey to the stars" narrated by whoopie goldberg. it was amazing. if you're ever in dc, we highly recommend going - it's a great museum as well {one of our favorites in dc}.
before i head out, i wanted to share this quick and simple smoothie recipe we tried on sunday morning.
we don't have a blender but we did invest in a magic bullet from a few years back. i was seriously regretting buying it because we hardly used it and just sitting in our kitchen cabinet looking lonely and bored. but i've recently begun to get interested in including healthy smoothies into our morning diet and the magic bullet whips one up instantly. it's so easy and helpful to use. i always felt a little nervous about trying a smoothie that looked so green but decided to give it a try anyway. definitely no regrets.
we used:
+ a cup of spinach
+ 1 banana
+ 1 apple peeled and cored
+ 1 cup of coconut water
+ 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
+ four cubes of ice.
yum.
hope you have a good week ahead!

Planetariums = I didn't realize how much I needed to go to there until you just mentioned it in this post lol a planetarium would be an awesome adventure to go on. Funny that I never thought about using a magic bullet for a blender vs a blender. That smoothie looks yummy! I love a good green smoothie :)

they are such a good addition to our meals!
DeleteThat smoothie sounds super yum! I also like your list, first home buyers seminar - ohhh, super exciting and yay for planetarium, such a cute date idea :)
ReplyDeleteoh i was so dreading the seminar but it turned out to be ok! :)
DeleteYangkyu's first instagram!!! How exciting. Stuart is so anti social media. I don't think he'll ever have an instagram account
ReplyDeleteat first he was resistant but then all of the sudden he was all for joining! and also being more active on twitter! :) i think he still needs to do it on his own pace though. haha.
DeleteSounds like a fun filled weekend!! The planetarium sounds like fun! I haven't been to one in ages.
ReplyDeletethe planetarium was so fun! :)
DeleteI love smoothies, but am often lazy to mix up the recipes. We typically use water, strawberries, a banana, ice and natural whey protein for a shake each morning. We used to use the Magic Bullet as well. It worked great! But we received an awesome blender as a gift so now we use that. I'd love to try your recipe for something different. Sounds good!
ReplyDeleteIs it weird I've never added veggies to my smoothies before? I usually go with strawberries, yogurt, banana, and ice. I would like to try this though! Coincidentally, I busted out the blender yesterday to start my smoothie making season. We don't have a magic bullet but we have a fake version (haha). It's so simple and perfect for single servings!
ReplyDeletewe've just bought a blender so I am definitely going to give this a go!! i love the beautiful green colour. the coconut water is a nice touch too :) x
ReplyDeleteOoh! I always get a similar green smoothie at my neighborhood juicer! Except instead of apple, they use pineapple! You should try it! It's delish!
