we found a creek and stayed a while..

hello & happy memorial day! 

yesterday, me, yangkyu and piri took a little drive over to arlington national cemetery where many of our veterans and soldiers lay rest. we didn't stay for too long because it was so hot and piri had to stop every few steps to take refuge under a shade. afterwards we went over to the shirlington dog park and found a creek just below it and cooled off in the water as the sun began to set. 

today we are taking it slow and easy. so far it's mostly been about naps and more naps and we'll probably swing by the pool a little later and have a mini bbq on our balcony.

just wanted to drop in quickly to wish everyone a wonderful monday. 

 ps - a little reminder of what memorial day is really about. thinking of all our service women and men, immigrants and canines.

    lovely way to spend a day and I love how warmer weather encourages napping and being more lazy, I love/appreciate that way of living :)

    I think that it's wonderful that you visited the Arlington Cemetary. I think people forget what Memorial Day is really about and why they are able to enjoy it and have a day off. I wish I could see it myself. -Jess L

      we are definitely planning on going back without piri this time. i think it was a bit hard for him with the hills and the sun. but there were so many spots that we missed that we would like to go and see. hope you can go there one day jess. xx

    So lovely, I wish it was hot here. And it's good that some people still know what Memorial Day is really about, most think it's just a day to have a barbique and off work, sadly!! xx
