hello and happy friday to you! hope you get to steal away some beautiful, precious moments during some alone time and with the people that you love. 

by the time this blog post goes live, we'll be en route to jamaica. we're very excited to be getting some sunshine {although there are chances of rain! eecks!} and plan on taking it easy while we're over there for the weekend. 

as i am write this post though, it's thursday night and we've already dropped piri off at an overnight boarding facility. it's awfully quiet around here. piri should be either snoring or trotting around the house and he's not, so it feels pretty empty. the great thing is that the facility is cage-free and he'll be with other dogs and humans the entire time. we hope that he'll like that. but we have an inkling that piri may be like us - introverted that is - which doesn't bode too well for him. ha. one time when we picked him up at petsmart hotel, it was during playtime. we snuck up to see how he was doing, and while all the other dogs were running around and playing, piri was in the corner all by himself. i guess mingling and networking isn't a forte around here. we hope the facility posts pictures of him on their facebook page. it'll be nice to see how he's doing while we're away.
