and if i could choose now?
i think i would definitely still keep the fun bottoms. there are so many pretty ones with big, soft ruffles. and sashes. i came across these lovely vera wang dresses below and fell in love with them, especially the one with the black sash. the bottom on that one is just too pretty.
pps - my dress was actually a rental. would you/did you buy or rent?

what about you? would you choose differently now?
or if you haven't worn a wedding gown yet, what kind of dress is your style?

I was "lucky" enough to find myself getting married twice. :P The first time around I went with a pretty formal, but simple strapless gown with a slight mermaid train.
ReplyDeleteThe second time around, I went with my gut an wore a custom made tea-length dress with bright blue shoes! No special underwear required, and I was super comfortable all night.
your second dress sounds amazing!!
DeleteI would totally pick that first dress! It's stunning and gorgeous.. and really the opposite of what my actual gown looked like. But this is just for fun, right? :)

i love the first dress as well! :)
DeleteThe first dress would be my pick. My wedding gown had a similar shape to the first one minus the black belt replaced with a straight bodice, but it's shorter in length because the venue was in a garden but I still ended up stepping on the dress. Strapless with gathered ruffles at the bottom that starts at the hips.I had to wear a really tight corset to get the figure right and I couldn't eat much at the wedding. :)
ReplyDeletethat was my biggest nightmare.. stepping on my dress and falling. sigh. :) your dress sounds beautiful!
DeleteI actually picked out the first wedding gown I tried on, which wasn't too exciting, I guess, but I did love it:) Honestly, I probably would've gone a different style now. Probably something a lot more simpler, and probably not white:P
ReplyDeleteI love that second gown you picked.
i love gowns that are not the traditional white! :)
Deletehmmm if i had to choose right now between the three i would go with the first one. i am not a big pouf or ruffly girl but since i had to choose that is the one i think is the prettiest
ReplyDeletei think my style changed too. i remember i wasn't into pouf and ruffles before :)
DeleteSo fun! Love that last one. Thanks for sharing! Xo, M&K at brewedtogether.com

how lovely!
DeleteThese are all really pretty dresses. It would be hard to choose, but knowing what I know, I'm glad I had the opportunity to do my wedding right the second time, which is to go with something very simple and use that money for something else. That's a story I'll save for later! -Jess L
ReplyDeletecan't wait to read!

ReplyDeleteoh congrats! must be exciting! bhldn has some really gorgeous gowns!
DeleteI really don't know what kind of wedding dress I really like. But the last one sure is gorgeous. I think when I'll ever marry, if I ever marry (hehe), I will go for something memorable but nothing too pricey? Or maybe I will, I don't know. Again, happy anniversary!
ReplyDeleteheehee~ thank you!
DeleteHappy anniversary to you! :D Goodness, these are all so pretty. I love the first one, with that elegant black bow. I definitely don't want just a plain white gown. I love these ruffles! They look ethereal. Following you on GFC and Bloglovin'!
ReplyDeleteMay the Force be with you.
